At this point, the Peer Mentor will follow up with the Peer Mentee to schedule a synchronous meeting via Zoom, phone call, or any platform with which you are comfortable and/or depending on the needs of the mentor and mentee.

Regardless of how you choose to meet, the Peer Mentor will "REPLY" to this post to initiate scheduling the meeting, though both parties are welcome to switch to another form of communication to finalize meeting details.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss how the semester is progressing. Topics should include:

In general, how has the semester been for the Mentee? How about the Mentor?
What has surprised the Mentee most about this first semester? Did the Mentor have a similar experience their first semester?
What is the Mentee most proud of thus far (or can the Mentee name a success they've experienced since starting the program)?
Does the Mentor have any advice or experiences to share regarding adjusting to the learning curve, time management, handling stress, and interactions with professors/peers online or during live sessions (particularly in regard to giving or receiving feedback)?
How might the Mentor best support the Mentee at this time?
